1. What is your position in the board and what are your main tasks?
I’m the Head of the International Committee. My main task is to be responsible for the integration of all JIBS students and to provide information for incoming international students from all over the world, as well as outgoing program students from JIBS.
2. How is a typical workweek in your position?
My workweeks vary from week to week. But I normally have meetings with my project managers and the team, with the International Relation Office or helping international students with diverse matters.
3. What do you like to do in your free time? Any hobbies or specific interests?
I’m a basketball nerd, or I would rather call me a sport nerd. I’m currently playing basketball in the second league with Brahe Basket, so we practice during the evenings or you can find me in the gym. Otherwise, I love to cook, especially international food (international at heart). Traveling is also a huge part of my life so I always seek for new adventures whenever I have the chance.
4. What made you decide to apply for your position?
.I joined the marketing team my first semester here at JIBS. It was a great experience and I saw the potential of the International Committee and JSA as an association, so I decided to apply for the position. But also, because I wanted to challenge myself and develop my leadership skills, and on top of that enhance my future career goals.
5. What have this opportunity given to you?
I don’t know where to begin, I have learned so much during my time within JSA. Managing a team of 22 people has been quite challenging as well as working with different kinds of people with different backgrounds and experience. I have also had the chance to meet other international representatives from different universities and discuss international matters. Lastly, I’ve had a lot of fun and developed tremendously as a leader as well as personally.
6. Do you have any advice for future applicants?
If you are a person who is driven and eager to learn new things, you should be engaged within the JSA, whether it’s small or large projects. We have something for everyone. But be prepared to work hard and start early with planning the events, and have fun!
